ABOUT ELISE ROPERS FROM PARIS OPERA BALLET
Who am I ?
Teacher, dancer, choreographer, productor
Being born in Saigon, I left my country at the age of 3 months ...
I grew up in St Germain en Laye (France) before entering the Paris Opera Ballet School when I was 9 years old.
I spent most of my life with the world renowned Paris Opera Ballet.
First as a student (one of ‘les petits rats’ as they are known there) and then as a professional ballet dancer with the company for 13 years. There I danced all the classical « répertoire » and had the privilege of being directed by great masters such as Rudolf NUREYEV, Maurice BEJART and Patrick DUPONT.
Later, I qualified as a ballet teacher, and I have been teaching adults and children of all ages and abilities for the past 15 years and am delighted to be in Saïgon to share my knowledge and passion.

What is Ballet ?
Ballet is the mother of all dance techniques.
I believe that teaching ballet should be enjoyable yet precise and rigorous.
My aim is to help adults and children develop their technique and maximise their potential.
Ballet will help you to ...

MY BALLET CLASS
The goal is to learn while having fun. The most important for me, is to give my students the desire to learn and to like this Art, by teaching them to control their bodies and to dance graciously.
Having had great experiences, dancing at the Opera of Paris, mentored by famous dancers like , Rudolf Noureev and Patrick Dupont, my heart’s desire is to impart, my technics and knowledge of this fascinating Art that, I love to my students. I also wish to make them discover, other rhythmical dances.
I train my students, by showing them the moves, after the music is on.
They learn to copy my moves and follow my instructions at the same times, developing their body and mind
coordination.
Most of the time, I teach them dancing-steps on Classical music but I also teach them moves on contemporary music (gimmicks).
For the little ones (of 4 years old) I like to improvise with them, moves on Snow white music from Walt Disney.
For the older, we dance on more contemporary music.
PRIVATE BALLET CLASS
Private lessons, the teaching is quite different.
This kind of training requires, that I adjust my lessons to the personality and needs of my adults students (men &women), to balance their emotional and physical needs. It allows them to monitor much better their life-pressures: while facing daily challenges, like speeches and interviews.
It also helps them increase their focus, handle conflicts but it also provides them personal fulfilment, through dance and music.
COACHING / PRIVATE CLASS
Private lessons, the teaching is quite different.
